How It All Started
It began with a faded recipe card. My grandmother's handwritten instructions for her famous apple pie - the one that made every holiday special. When she passed, that little card became one of my most treasured possessions.
But recipe cards fade. Paper yellows and tears. I wanted a way to preserve her handwriting forever, in something I could use every day in my kitchen - where she always felt most at home.
That's when the idea for Heartwood Recipes was born. Using modern AI technology to extract and preserve handwriting, combined with traditional craftsmanship to create beautiful, functional cutting boards that tell a story.
